LECHE LEAGUE is a non-profit support group of women
offering information
and encouragement to mothers who wish to breastfeed.
Nursing babies are always welcome..
Breastfeeding is a simple
and natural process, but you may need support and information on the correct
positioning of the baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding
problems, and overcoming any difficulties that may occur.
Attending La Leche League meetings can help you learn about
breastfeeding from other nursing mothers. At these monthly meetings,
mothers share not only their concerns but also the benefits and joys of
breastfeeding. Being in touch with La Leche League can give you the
network of support you need.
Membership in La Leche
League is just $40.00 per year. Members receive a subscription to our
online magazine Breastfeeding Today, use of our group's lending library
and information about La Leche League events. Memberships also support our
library and continuing breastfeeding education for the volunteer Leaders.
La Leche League Leaders are available between meetings to give help
and information.
